Starvation: A Weapon of Mass Destruction

The deliberate use of starvation as a weapon is one of the most brutal and inhumane acts imaginable. It is a method of collective punishment that targets the most vulnerable—children, the elderly, and innocent civilians—subjecting them to unimaginable suffering. International law explicitly prohibits starvation as a tactic of war, yet it continues to be employed in conflicts around the world, leaving behind a trail of devastation and death.

In Gaza, children are bearing the brunt of this cruel strategy. Blockades, restrictions on aid, and the destruction of infrastructure have turned survival into a daily struggle. Families are forced to ration food, while malnutrition and disease spread among the youngest and most defenseless. The images of emaciated children, their bodies weakened by hunger, are a stark reminder of humanity’s failure to uphold the most basic moral principles.

From an Islamic perspective, such actions are a grave sin. The Quran emphasizes the sanctity of life and condemns oppression in all forms: "Whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption in the land—it is as if he had slain mankind entirely" (5:32). The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that feeding the hungry is among the highest acts of righteousness, saying, "The best of you are those who feed others." To weaponize hunger is to defy these teachings and abandon compassion.

History has shown that starvation as a weapon leaves deep scars, not only on those who suffer but on the conscience of the world. The international community must act decisively to stop this crime, ensure humanitarian access, and hold perpetrators accountable. Silence in the face of such atrocities makes us complicit. The children of Gaza—and all victims of forced starvation—deserve justice, dignity, and the right to live without fear of hunger as a weapon of war.

Netanyahu and His Severe Reckoning with God: Quranic Evidence of the Punishment of Oppressors

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Zionist entity, represents a blatant example of injustice and tyranny in our modern age, as his crimes against the defenseless Palestinian people are revealed day after day. The Holy Quran, more than fourteen centuries ago, clearly outlined the fate of tyrants and oppressors, and its verses came as a warning to them and as glad tidings to the oppressed of divine justice and resounding victory. The injustice committed by Netanyahu and his soldiers is not hidden from God, who says in His perfect Book: “And never think that God is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. He only delays them for a Day when eyes will stare in horror.” (Ibrahim: 42)

Delaying punishment is not negligence, but rather a test and a prelude to a painful torment, as happened with previous nations who acted insolently and tyrannically, and whose fate was destruction and ruin. The Qur’an tells us about God’s law in destroying the wrongdoers, including Pharaoh, the people of ‘Aad, and the people of Thamud, who transgressed the limits and were ultimately utterly lost: “So We seized each one for his sin. Among them were those upon whom We sent a storm of stones, and among them were those whom the shriek seized, and among them were those whom We caused the earth to swallow, and among them were those whom We drowned. And God would not wrong them, but they were wronging themselves.” (Al-‘Ankabut: 40)

The Zionist entity, led by Netanyahu, follows the same tyrannical approach, persisting in killing and destruction. But God's law does not change, and its fate will be like that of the tyrants who preceded it.

The magnitude of the crimes committed by this entity against children, women, and the defenseless in Palestine is no secret. These are unforgivable crimes, and God has threatened their perpetrators with the most severe punishment: "And whoever kills a believer intentionally - his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and the wrath and the curse are upon him and a great punishment is prepared for him." (An-Nisa': 93)

Every child killed, every mother maimed, and every home destroyed is a heavy debt on the necks of Netanyahu and his aides, and they will be severely held accountable for it on a day when neither wealth nor children will be of any benefit.

Netanyahu attempts to deceive the world with his cunning and deceit, but the Qur'an reminds us that the cunning of oppressors is useless against God's power: "And they planned a plan, and We planned a plan, but they perceived not. So see how was the end of their plan - that We destroyed them and their people, all together." (An-Naml: 50-51).

No matter how powerful an oppressor is, and no matter what tools of killing and deception he possesses, his end is inevitable, and he will be destroyed just as oppressive nations before him were.

In return, God promises the oppressed victory and empowerment, no matter how long it takes or how severe the affliction: "And We desired to bestow a favor upon those who were oppressed in the land and make them leaders and make them inheritors." (Al-Qasas: 5).

The Palestinian people, despite all the killing and displacement they are suffering, will inherit the land, God willing, and the oppressors will receive their fullest recompense. The Holy Quran leaves no oppressor without warning them of their consequences, and it leaves no oppressed person without promising them imminent relief. Netanyahu, with his countless crimes, has brought upon himself a difficult reckoning with God. His fate will be like that of every tyrant in history: annihilation and destruction, while truth will prevail, for God is victorious over His affair. “And God is predominant over His affair, but most people do not know.” (Yusuf: 21(

The brutal killing of children, the starvation of innocents, and the destruction of hospitals and schools are not acts of courage. They are cowardly acts committed only by the weak, who fear confronting the truth with the power of truth, so they resort to the force of violence and destruction. A coward is one who kills children as they sleep in their homes, who besieges cities and prevents food and medicine from reaching the defenseless, believing that these crimes will prolong his existence. But they do not realize that with every bullet they fire and every bomb they drop, they are driving another nail into the coffin of their illusory existence.

The Zionists have written with their own hands the end of their presence in the region. They no longer have a place among peoples who reject injustice and refuse humiliation. The Arab and Islamic nation will never forget the blood of the innocent, and will never accept that an entity that usurped land and killed children remains a thorn in its side. Every wound, every tear, every martyr, fuels a revolution that will not be extinguished until every inch of Palestine is liberated. The end is not yet complete, but it is inevitably coming, and the oppressors will know what their fate will be.

And here are the Zionists today, despite their false power, living in constant fear, because they know deep down that they are strangers to this land, that their existence is built on injustice and blood, and that injustice does not last. Just as every tyrannical empire in history has fallen, this entity will fall, and they will depart, as have others, leaving behind a shameful memory. Meanwhile, Palestine stands proud with its people, awaiting the victory that God has promised, and He is the best of those who promise.

"So when the promise of the Hereafter comes to pass, they will disfigure your faces and enter the mosque as they entered it the first time and destroy with utter destruction what they had exalted." (Al-Isra: 7(

Interpretation of the verse in the context of the occupying entity:

This verse speaks of the Children of Israel and how, if God fulfills His final promise (the promise of the Hereafter), He will humiliate them, and their enemies will enter Al-Aqsa Mosque as they entered it the first time (i.e., they will achieve victory over it), destroying all the power and control they had built. This is a clear warning that injustice does not last, and that God is able to turn the tables and humiliate the oppressors, no matter how powerful they are.

Today, the Zionist entity, with its crimes and tyranny, is heading toward its inevitable fate, because God's law does not change: "And those days We alternate among the people" (Al Imran: 140).

Victory is coming, divine justice is coming, and every oppressor will receive their punishment in this world and the hereafter.

The greatest lesson we must learn from all this injustice, killing, starvation, and humiliation is to act in accordance with God's words: "And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of God and your enemy" (Al Anfal: 60).

Strength does not lie solely in weapons, but in all military, economic, and scientific aspects, in the weapon of oil and the comprehensive boycott, in unity of ranks, and in raising the banner of jihad in all its forms.

There is no place for the weak in the battle of destiny, and no victory can be achieved without preparation and sacrifice. Let these crimes fuel our resolve and let us work with all our strength so that we are never humiliated again, and so that we write the inevitable end for every oppressor who usurped our land and shed our blood. Glory belongs to God, His Messenger, and the believers, but the hypocrites do not know.
